Strafing Turret
Kerry Keith Murdock
Instead of sending your center Turret directly after the Main Hero, pull it back and use it to slowly obliterate your opponent's poor-fire-block Pawns, paving the way for your own Pawns, Knight, Rook, or Main Hero.
Dual Turrets
Kerry Keith Murdock
I know that I always warn about the treachery of making Alliances, but imagine the possibilities of sending two Turrets against the same Main Hero while they are still in their original setup position.
In theory, the Main Hero could be taken out in one round... if you trust your Alliance partner.
Anti-Turret

Tyrolane's Distribute Damage bonus can spread 1 or 2 damage to neighboring pieces. His Redirect Fire bonus makes him invulnerable to incoming Fire. Move his Shield 1 space forward, then position him to shoot at the Turrets if they are still clustered in the center of the board. If it's a 4 person game, he could take them all out in 2 turns. If it's a 2 or 3 person game, he could do it in 1 turn.

Saeline can use her Mirror Fire bonus to shoot at her Shield or Pawn and have the shot re-emerge from another piece. Turrets cannot attack or capture each other, but Saeline can shoot out of her Turret with her Mirror Fire bonus, eliminating other Turrets via her Turret as proxy.

Dauntain's Ricochet Shot bonus allows him to hit up to 3 pieces on one turn, they just need to be at least 1 space away from each other. Once they start moving away from each other, he should be able to *zip-zip-zip* them all to death in two turns before they arrive on his doorstep.

Either one of these suggestions could allow their Main Hero control the center of the board.
Road Hog
Kerry Keith Murdock
Worried that your opponent might be trying to rebuild a lost piece, such as a Queen, or if they are trying to rebuild their magic, then camp a strong piece on the center of the board like a Knight or Shield, so they can't safely gain their reward.

It's also a good way to guard against opponent's pieces Hunting in your own territories.
Turret/Rook Bait
Kerry Keith Murdock
1. Move your two pawns out of the way to open up your Rook.
2. Send your Turret against your opponent's Main Hero with the intent to flush them out.
3. Shoot at their Main Hero 4 spaces away while they are still in their setup position.
4. If they jump over their Shield and Combat your Turret directly, they should be lined up to be charged by your prepared Rook.
5. Charge with your Rook for additional damage.
